I. Client Background
In April of this year, we received an inquiry from a Malaysian client whose business spans landscaping and maintenance, golf course turf management, and weed control in palm oil plantations. With Malaysia accelerating the adoption of agricultural mechanization and smart farming technologies, the client planned to acquire a fleet of high-efficiency, durable mowing machines to replace traditional manual weeding methods.
After comparing various Chinese suppliers online, the client became keenly interested in our company’s remote-controlled mowers. To gain a deeper understanding of our product performance and manufacturing capabilities, the client decided to fly to China for an on-site factory inspection and test drive.

II. Challenges Faced by the Client
Prior to their visit, we learned through multiple online discussions about several core challenges they faced in their operations:
First, high costs and low efficiency associated with manual weeding. Malaysia’s palm oil plantations cover vast areas where weeds grow rapidly; traditional manual mowing is not only labor-intensive but also entails steadily rising labor costs.
Second, demanding equipment requirements due to the hot and humid environment. Located in the tropics, Malaysia experiences high temperatures and heavy rainfall year-round, causing standard mowers to overheat and malfunction frequently during prolonged, continuous operation.
Third, complex terrain and operational difficulties. The plantations feature numerous slopes—some quite steep—where standard wheeled mowers struggle to operate stably, posing safety risks.
III. Factory Inspection and Test Drive
In mid-May, the client’s delegation arrived at our manufacturing base in Jining, Shandong. We arranged a comprehensive visit itinerary:
Factory floor tour. The client first toured our production workshop and finished-goods warehouse, witnessing firsthand the mower assembly process, quality control standards, and production capacity. They expressed approval of our standardized production lines and rigorous quality management system.
Technical product briefing. During the technical discussion, we highlighted the remote-controlled mower that was of particular interest to the client. This product utilizes a 48V high-voltage, low-current electrical architecture, which significantly reduces heat generation, making it ideally suited for long, continuous operation in Malaysia’s hot and humid climate. Additionally, the equipment features a servo control system and a self-locking function, enabling precise motion control and preventing slippage on steep slopes, which significantly enhances operational safety.
Field Demonstration and Test Drive. To allow the client to evaluate the equipment's performance firsthand, we organized a field mowing test. The client personally operated the remote-controlled mower, completing mowing tasks on simulated slopes and in areas of dense vegetation. The machine operated smoothly with responsive controls, demonstrating exceptional performance on slopes—capable of handling inclines of up to 50 degrees. The client expressed satisfaction with the remote control range, mowing efficiency, and terrain-traversing capabilities.

IV. Client Feedback
Following the test drive, we engaged in in-depth technical and commercial discussions with the client. They remarked:
"This site visit to China has been incredibly valuable. The production workshop is organized and orderly, and quality control is rigorous; we have full confidence in the product's manufacturing quality. The performance during the field test exceeded our expectations—particularly the slope handling and heat dissipation during prolonged operation—aligning perfectly with the actual needs of our plantations."
The client also noted that the landscaping and agricultural sectors in Malaysia are expanding rapidly, driving a growing demand for efficient, safe mowing equipment. They see great potential for the widespread application of remote-controlled mowers in Malaysian palm oil plantations, golf courses, and municipal landscaping projects.
V. Summary
The Malaysian client's factory visit and successful test drive mark a significant step in our expansion into the Southeast Asian market. The Malaysian market for lawn care machinery and equipment is valued at approximately USD 364 million in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 473 million by 2032, representing immense market potential.
This collaboration reinforces a key insight: when overseas clients choose Chinese-made products, they value more than just price advantages; they prioritize whether the product genuinely addresses their pain points and whether the manufacturer offers reliable production capabilities and service support. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen our presence in Southeast Asia, earning the trust of more international clients through superior product quality and professional service.
